Beautiful and excellent condition hand-turned pitcher from the old Williamsburg Pottery Kiln in Virginia. Brushed with an elegant and whimsical cobalt blue leaf design, this small-mouth pitcher would add a delicate touch to any eclectic decor. Marked with the Williamsburg Pottery embossing on the bottom. Found, with love, in Northern Kentucky.
History about the piece; The Williamsburg Pottery was founded in 1938. The functional art pieces were handmade using a traditional colonial style and reproduced in that fashion. Williamsburg pottery is known for their hand-turned (on an old fashion potter's wheel) pieces which are brushed with the creative 18th century style cobalt blue floral motifs and finished with a crystal clear lead-free glaze. They are sturdy, yet museum quality, and sure to become heirloom pieces.
