Vintage woven throw, but new with tags! This pure virgin wool blanket is made in a traditional American mill. This throw will be a perfect companion to your autumn picnic date. 52 x 70 with a Highland plaid pattern of deep blues, greens and threads of red and yellow. Found, with love, in Northern Kentucky.
History of the piece: These traditional steamer rugs were used to cozy up and keep you warm while travelling by horse-drawn carriage, train, or boat in the early 20th century. The Pendleton Woolen Mill started over 100 years ago in Oregon by The Kay and Bishop families. The family weavers used stunning Native American inspired designs. This family-owned business is still thriving and providing beautiful woven goods.
